I get earaches frequently, some say from sinus problems, and they are painful. It doesn’t last for just an hour or so but for days. I have tried various things, homeopathic tablets and drops, baby oil, sweet oil, smoke blown into the ear, you name it I have tried it. It seems that since I had meningitis about 5-6 years ago that it is a reacurring problem. I am tired of this pain, if you have ever had an earache I think you can understand what I am feeling.
Thanks for the answers so far. I would like to say… (not to everyone) you don’t have to be rude. I am not an idiot… I don’t put things (articles) in my ear, and if your ear hurt all the time… then you would not think that it was a “retarded” (your spelling) question.
When I have gone to the doctor for this… they say it is not infected??? I don’t know. I just want it to stop lol. I would think that they would maybe put tubes in, but I don’t know. Dang I am almost 39 years old. lol.
Again thanks for the answers so far. Does anyone have any “quick” cures?

The best thing you can do is just go to your doctor. A doctor can prescribe an antibiotic and make sure that there is nothing wrong with your ear. Good luck!

    Consider the following tips:

    * On low volume, dry out as much fluid in your ears as you can with a blow dryer with as much heat as you can stand. Your ears may pop open afterward as some of the fluid dries up inside. Do not force high wind, but do it very gently on low volume. Many people find the warm air very soothing to their ears. Do both ears even if only one feels infected.

    * Next lie down and put three drops of Colloidal Silver (or LIquid Garlic Extract) in both ears. Do not contaminate the dropper by touching the inside of the ear. Follow with a half of fresh garlic clove in each ear. Cover with sterile cotton. For tinier ears put a smaller piece, but too big to actually go deep into the ear. Rub a small amount of the Colloidal Silver on the mastoid bone behind the ear.

    * Rest quietly as much as you can.

Recurring ear infections are a sign of weakened immune system. It’s time for you to pay attention to your immune system. What is your personal need for vitamin-C (ester-C)? How much immune destroying sugar do you eat? Pay attention!

Hope it gets better soon :-)

First of all STOP PUTTING THINGS IN YOUR EARS! I worked at a doctor’s office for three years and the rule of thumb was, ‘if it’s smaller than your elbow, don’t put it in your ear,’ meaning, DON’T PUT THINGS IN YOUR EARS! That having been said, you should consult with a ENT (Ear Nose Throat) doctor (Otolaryngologist) about what you should do, but remember what not to do…DON’T PUT THINGS IN YOUR EARS!

If you are continually having ear aches you need to go to your Doctor and have him/her schedule an operation for tubes to be put in your ears. Tubes are not just for infants and small children. It sounds like you have a blockage because of a to small canal opening. Check it out!

I think you should go see your doctor as soon as you can. Ear infections are nothing to wait on to get better. it will only get worse if you prolong meds from your doc….also you could try putting a warm rice bag on your ear that is how i do it when i have earaches……hope you feel better soon

I know this is not generally used for this but Excedrine Migranie works great on earache pain. I had a bad one a couple of months ago and it was the only thing that made the pain stop.
