My friend recently had all the lymph nodes removed from the right side of his neck and shoulder after 3 months of very aggressive cancer treatment. Any supplements should always be cleared first by the treating oncologist.

Many “natural” remedies and even some vitamin supplements etc can actually counteract the action of some types of chemotherapy.

I had many well-meaning friends who recommended all sorts of treatments and supplements while I was going through my treatment, some of them were offended when I politely refused their offer to supply the recommended supplement. This particular supplement was actually one my oncologist had already warned me to avoid.

Friends have their place providing support physically, financially or emotionally but leave the health care to the medical team.
