Question for anyone who knows… my son (2 years old) has a bad cold (in his chest). The doc told me to give him delsym (12-hour), which I did at 11:15 AM today. It hasn’t helped at all. I just bought some homeopathic cough syrup (Children’s Chestal Honey from Boiron). Can I give it to him now, or do I have to wait until 11:15 tonight? (He’s had nothing else in terms of meds.)

My son is almost 3. He has already had pink eye 5 times, including right now! Yesterday he was fine as we both happily raked leaves. He was having so much fun! And then a few hours later his eyes were both pinkish. This morning I see that indeed he has pink eye again!
We do not have pets, and live in a new house (so it never had pets in it). However, he does attend daycare and has since he was 1 year old. I moved his daycare to a new one about 10 months ago and his health overall has improved so much. And yet, we still have the pink eye situation.
Has anyone had similar issues themselves? Is there something I can do to prevent this from constantly recurring? His Eye Doctor doesn’t have any clear answers. Are there homeopathic things like warm tea compresses or anything? I do put the antibiotic drops in his eyes every few hours as instructed but it is painful for both of us. He gets so agitated each time.
Thank you for your help and sharing any similar experiences.
My Daughter is almost 2 yrs. old. And she is exceptionally clingy, always has been. She was colicky as an infant. My friend let me know that she used homeopathic remedies for her toddler for the same reasons, and it worked really well. Just want to know about other peoples opinions and any advice you can give me.
I have my daughter with kids everyday. She seems to enjoy herself but will not leave my side. We have neighbors and friends come over often, but she never gets used to any adults, ever, except for my husband and myself. The one exception to that is, we have her with a babysitter, which she does enjoy, once a week. This is the only person in 2 yrs that she would ever let hold her, besides myself and my husband. As an example, I have her go to a kids music class once a week, which she enjoys but never really participates in. This has been going on for about 4 months. She eats very well, no sugar except for yogurt once or twice a week. We have regular sleep schedules, that is not an issue.
My daughter is definitely within normal standards. Just to give you an idea, she didn’t let me put her down for 10 months straight. I literally had to carry her to the bathroom, etc. I could not take showers or eat without someone helping me, for 10 months. And had to sleep with her attached at the boob, due to both of us getting sleep deprivation (it was rec) I didn’t plan on this – I thought she would be like other babies and at least sit by herself for a few mins. I did this out of survival. Whenever an adult walks up to us she starts crying. Can you imagine trying to grocery shop and doing things for your families survival? I can not cook a meal, nor can I do any grooming what so ever. It is not good. Now NORMAL, maybe, acceptable I really don’t think so. If there is something that can help, why not try? And when she is a teenager, if I feel she needs any help what so ever, I will not hesitate and will not be lazy about making sure she always gets what might help her.
