Hear Ye, Hear Ye! Tinnitus Can be a Thing of the Past
Tinnitus is a disheartening problem with numerous causes. Whatever the origin, if there is no permanent damage to the inner ear, it can often be addressed with homeopathy.
Homeopathy is a medical paradigm that has been used throughout the world for the last two centuries. And it’s making a striking come back in the U.S. Homeopathy was once considered one of the mainstays of medical care in the U.S. This is not so in Europe, India and South America where approximately 40% of medical doctors are homeopaths.
Although homeopathy can often resolve tinnitus, it doesn’t treat the illness; rather it treats the person. This means that since each person has different symptoms and different causes, they will receive different remedies. So, for example, if tinnitus is a result of an ear infection, the person might receive Silica. If, instead, another suffers from tinnitus when their sinuses act up, the remedy given could be Kali bichromium.
For example, Jason had ringing in his ears for the past 10 years. He was a rock musician, so was frequently around loud music. He recalls a particular job he played where the amplifier close to him not only caused his ears to ring as usual, but to throb with pain, as well. Ever since then, he has had ringing that worsens and causes pain when exposed to loud noises. After calling a homeopath and starting the remedy, he found that the pain was greatly reduced. The ringing remained, but it didn’t seem to bother him as much. After a few more months of homeopathic remedies, the ringing was often unnoticeable. Although his tinnitus wasn’t completely resolved, he was pleased.
Nancy has suffered with sinus allergies and tinnitus most of her adult life. After working with a homeopath for two months, not only was the ringing in her ears relieved, but her sinus headaches and chronic post nasal drip were no longer an issue. The remedy stimulated her body to bring the pathology to resolution.
Homeopathy is gentle, reliable and inexpensive and will never interfere with any other medications. It gently nudges the person’s ability to heal themselves when given the homeopathic stimulus. It is medicine that offers quality care and is a considered and rational choice for relief from tinnitus.

Question by staringintotheeabyss: Strangest thing you’ll ever read, promise.?
21, male, healthy. To make it Brief… June 5th, half a bottle of Brandy on an empty stomach, June 6th, 5 shots of brandy for breakfast and nothing else, that night half a bottle of gin. Never had gin before, after drinking gin I got shortness of breath, stopped.
Woke up the next day with shortness of breath and a tickle in the throat and a lot of diarrhea. 3 weeks later started experiencing difficulty swallowing but the shortness of breath subsided, hurts to take a deep breath.
The tickle continues, and develops from June 6th to this day into lots burping (especially after eating), uncomfortable “full feeling”/boating, trapped burp feelings, sourish taste in mouth sometimes, coated yellow/white tongue, sore throat when lieing down. Sometimes heat in throat, other times cough/tickle sensation. A lot of salivating.
Was checked out for heart problems (negative EKG), was checked out for reflux problems (negative laryngoscopy/endoscopy/barium swallow and unresponsive to PPI/h2 blocker trials), checked out for lung problems (negative spirometer/flow meter), checked out for allergies (unresponsive to anti-histamine trial and immunoglobin test was normal). At this point the doctors (yes, doctors, I’ve been to many, I live in Southern Cali and have been to very good specialists) are putting it down to a possible “psychological cause”. I find that hard to believe since I’ve never had this problem before or any other health problem.
I’ve tried acupuncture and alternative medicine (homeopathy) as well to no avail. The tickle is constant. I’ve noticed sometimes it’ll increase after drinking diet coke, but that could be a coincidence, since it increases randomly as well. Alcohol actually makes it feel better.
I do not regurgitate but I am extremely gassy from both ends. I have so much gas that when I lie down I can hear bubbles occasionally escape like a tight pressure valve noise. The second I sit up though, I burp.
I wouldn’t be lieing if I said this has really affected my life. Don’t feel like the same person, constantly “out of it”, I just want this to go away. I don’t want it to be permanent. And no, I don’t have that “GERD” crap/big pharma condition branding, I was checked out for it and have researched it to the bone (found the cure for it, an alkaline diet, and no, this isn’t my problem nor have I had this problem). The doctors even visualized my throat/esophagus and saw nothing.
What could this be?
Michanso, it’s worth a try. Sometimes a layman knows more than a biased specialist.
Am I an alcoholic? No. I can choose whether or not to drink. I was sober for a month and a half to see if it would help, it didn’t.
I drank somewhat heavily, but not major. I was doing a lot of wine at night, but nothing overly shocking for a 21 year old college student. The hard liquor binge was a new occurrence, and I did it to cope with stress…lucky me…it created more.
Melanie, schizophrenic? How can I be feeling something that’s not there when I am burping from it? Is the air non-existent?

Homeopathy & Bio Terrorism (no new thing under the sun)
What is our best defense against a bio terrorist attack? The key is having a homeopathic kit with the proper remedies, specifically targeting things such as deadly flu viruses, anthrax, small pox, botulism, and even nuclear attack. Once an assault or epidemic is in affect, you loose the advantage of time, if you are not prepared with the needed remedies. Part of training homeopathic practitioners includes being prepared to treat the masses in case of an epidemic, be it of natural origin or an act of war which would include both disease outbreak as well as bio terrorism. The low cost of remedies would allow the public affordable protection, that is, if they were open to using it. Many homeopaths still agree that antibiotics, when available, and even though may have limited value, should be used when indicated, however, one of the beautiful things about using homeopathic remedies is that there are no contra indications- they can be taken along with prescription, allopathic, medicine, and also carry no side effects. This is a relief to those who are transitioning into natural medicine, but not yet quite ready to separate from Western medicine entirely.
They say there is no new thing under the sun. Historically speaking, the use of germs and chemicals in war, is not a new concept. During the 1600’s, the British used the dirty trick of giving out smallpox infested blankets to the Native Americans, under the guise of friendship. The subsequent spread of disease crippled their camps. And just as gruesome was the European practice of flinging decaying carcasses (both human and animal) into the courtyards of castles, spreading germs and filth, in an attempt to disable their foes. Disgusting but ingenious.
In our modern times, we have the ability to arm ourselves with an invaluable item- the homeopathy kit. Working through the law of “similars”, homeopathic remedies are made from natural substances through a process of dilutions, leaving less than a molecule of the original substance, and thus removing any allergenic or poisonous properties, and using the concept of stimulation of the immune system, rather than suppression of disease. Some explain homeopathy as giving the body the information it needs to heal itself, and consider remedies to be energy.
Self prescribing and low cost are two very attractive features of homeopathic health care, (although never under estimate the value of a seasoned practitioner in your corner). I consider several kits to be a necessary part of one’s “arsenal”, and an investment that will pay for itself hundreds of times over.
Fear, Panic, and Shock
When considering homeopathic remedies for some normal emotional responses, such as fear, panic, and shock, a few common remedies come to mind. These remedies tell the panic instincts of our body, that there is no danger, and allows us to concentrate and settle. Remember that when looking at a case in a homeopathy manor, like in most modalities, a visual assessment including observation of the patient is first on the agenda. Next, we listen to the voice; is it excited, agitated, or is the patient withdrawn and silent. Does the patient sense danger or is he confident that not much is wrong. Mindset as well as symptoms, play a large role in making the proper selection of a remedy. Going back to any emotions that may have been present during the “episode” that cause the symptoms, should also be explored and considered, and can often mean the difference between using one remedy over another.
Shock, which is easily treatable, can be classically cured with either aconite or arnica, one of which would be selected depending on mindset. Aconite is used when the person in shock asks for help, has visible high anxiety, and feels he is going to die. Aconite is often used to ease fears such as the fears of crowds, or the fear of death. It is one of the first remedies thought of, to be used for the sudden onset of anything. Arnica, on the other had, suits a person in shock who may refuse assistance, although help is clearly needed. Arnica is also widely used for muscular trauma, and any injury related to the head area, including dental pain. In the case of the shock after receiving bad news, try gelsemium. It’s also good for anxiety due to stage fright or concerns about passing an exam, and relieves trembling. Gelsemium is also often the last remedy to be given after being sick, to raise energy levels.
Homeopathy has been highly successful in treating an array of emotional conditions. There are documented cases of patients who after years of psychotherapy, learned of homeopathy, and received a remedy that did what the “shrink” could not. One of my famous stories of personal success with using homeopathy to treat an emotional disorder, occurred about five years ago, with the patient being a baby cardinal bird. Driving on a busy street, my husband and I noticed a small bird in the middle of the road on the yellow line, motionless. A quick u turn, and we were back to the bird, scoping her up in my sweatshirt, and heading for home, where I had a small open wire animal cage I could put her into while evaluating the situation. Crane, as we named her, was motionless in my lap in the car, petrified with shock. At home, I placed the stiff bird in the small animal cage, and prepared aconite water. Crane hopped over to the dish, and I watched her take a large drop of water and role it down her beak. Suddenly, she flapped her wings and broke into the longest and most complex aria I have ever heard from a bird. No placebo here, just a classic example of homeopathy well used, and well received.

When I breathe in it seems like I’m not getting enough air. It happens mostly at night, and it get worse when I run around or go outside, witch really sucks, because I prefer to spend most of my time outside exploring, chilling, or playing sports. I took an allergy pill and some homeopathic allergy medicine yesterday, and it seemed to make it better, but then once I tried to go to sleep it got worse again, and I was stuck in a hot bath to try to make it better until about 5 in the morning. >.< It was really annoying, and I think it’s either allergies, acid reflux, both of which have been known to happen to me in the past, or slight asthma. I’m afraid that it might be asthma, but I really hope it’s not. ![]()
Oh, and so far it only keeps me up every other night. Which is just odd.
I don’t really want to go to the doctor, so is there a way I can tell at home if I have slight asthma or not?
Thanks a million! ![]()

This Thing Called Cholesterol
When I casually mentioned to my brother that I was doing a column on cholesterol, his response was, “Oh! Cholesterol’s delicious!” I can’t say I was shocked by his retort. One only needs to avail oneself of all the food-porn sites on the Internet to ascertain that many people share his sentiments.

Only at night, my sense of sound is so sharp and its making hard for me to sleep and am wondering if there is a way to help ease that instead of drugs!! Homeopathic remedies, teas, candles, etc.
Also, could it be a condition and if so what is it?
There is a red growth-like thing with red veins near the tear duct inside my dog’s left eye, it would come up over the years but we would just use what was left of some prescription eye drops for my mom and it would go away but eventually the bottle ran out. So the next time it appeared, which was about a year ago, we bought some homeopathic eye drops but they don’t work at all. Please explain what it is, what causes it, and how to treat it. Thank you
I have glaucoma surgery, and after that it got worse. when i look at the light over the table i see rays coming out of it, when i drive in the day or night the same thing happens with headlights and backlights.
I have a lot of headaches and nausea.
Recently, my friend told me that i should try a homeopathic doctor.
