Question by Stressed: EXTREME dry eye-many questions?
OK so here’s a backround story of my eye, the long annoying story of mine. ok so when i was little my doctor noticed my left eye would like droop and would look lower than my right eye, and it went lower and lower, (it never hurt) but ya. they eventually found out through MRI that i had a tumor growing above my eye pushing down my eye. so my doctor took it out, thank God i didn’t have cancer, BUT the tumor was growing out of my Lacamal gland (the main tear gland) so they had to take that out to. so ya, i can’t make tears in my left eye anymore. so they tested my eye and said u just need to keep ur eye moisturized with artifitial tears. so life was good, my eyes were looking normal, but starting about the late summer of 2010, it started to feel really dry and irritated, and this is like two years around after the surgery. so i just started to put more eyedrops in. i use homeopathic eyedrops, but my eye started to get really irritated, and the eyedrops would make it worse. plus my left eye looks noticably smaller than my right eye. so i told my doctor and she told me not to use homeopathic and use over the counter artificial tears, nothing changed. she told me to use preservative free eye drops, which don’t irritate me, but don’t really give me the relief i want. and i went to an eye specialist, and i mainly wanted to know why my left eye was smaller than my right, he didin’t really give me an answer. He was kinda like, maybe the eye is closing alittle more from lack of mouisture. anyways, so i kinda feel my doctors are just tring to ignore me and just u know, take my money and get me out of their office. so a few days ago my RIGHT eye, the one that did not have a tumor and has the tear gland was feeling reallllly dry, even more than my left. i felt crazy cause my whole life i’ve just never had normal eyes, and knowing something is now happening to my right eye is just horrible. so luckily it’s ok now, but i mean why did that happen? and now, today, my left eye which is the one WITHOUT the tear gland, o my gosh, i have never felt it so dry in my life. i used like 6 tubes of preservative free eyedrops, and it didn’t relieve my eye and it feels like the inside of my eye is dry like a desert. and my eye is squinting by itself because the dry irritation and wants to close shut. I know that the eyedrops if my eyes were normal should take them as relief. but my eyes are soo dry. i also want to put in that i have a very dryyy body. i have dandruff, in my scalp and my eyebrows. i have reallly dry hands. so can u tell me what i should do at this point? and also i have been always afraid of contacts. and in my situation contacts would be a definite no, but in a few months is my birthday and i was wanting to put in colored contacts, just for my birthday. but im so scared it will mess up my eye. and ive never put in contacts before. so please tell me what to do!!!!

get a second opinion from another eye specialist!
BTW, if you have dry eyes,you cant wear contact lenses.
you may need to see a skin dr also, to find out why is your skin is so dry?
did you have any blood tests done to check your thyroid function?

Why homeopaths ask so many questions?

The idea of today’s blog emerged from the mail of one of my new patients. As the routine procedure of online consultation, I had mailed Mr. XYZ the big questionnaire that I send to my patients for filling up in details. Weary about his trouble, Mr. XYZ mailed me the next day—”Dear Doctor, I am suffering from hemorrhoids chronically. I can understand if you ask me details about my bowel habit but felt little weird when you asked me about my emotional disposition. Do you think doctor that being a little reserved kind of person that I am, affects my bowels and that’s why I am suffering from hemorrhoids?”

 

Well, good question indeed! Actually his remedy lies in the question that he asked me here. Anyway, why really homeopaths ask so many questions? Are they really necessary? Many people however know that history taking is one of the most important steps to reach correct homeopathic remedy. But why is the question. So let’s see-

 

(1)   History of physical, mental, and emotional health of the patient decides the patient’s constitution. The constitution of the patient is the sole way to reach to correct remedy in homeopathy. The reason is as below:

Homeopathy is an individualistic science and it is this characteristic that gives upper edge to homeopathy. What is individualization? It is the method by which every person is segregated from the other as far as his constitution is concerned. It means that if two people are suffering from piles, the remedy for both may not be the same. It will be decided depending upon the symptoms of hemorrhoids of both patients and their mental and emotional quotients.
However, in homeopathic philosophy, it has been stressed that direct questions pointing to the answers should be avoided while taking history of the patient. This may dilute the crux of the case. But in day to day practice, certain direct questions are asked by some homeopaths in an attempt to find exact simillimum. And unless this simillimum is found, it is impossible to impart perfect cure to the patient.

 

(2)   Homeopathy is definitely not an easy science. The artistic expression of homeopathy is the most tedious job homeopathic physicians need to do. We all know that many diseases are psychosomatic. It means that they emerge due to psychological, mental and/or emotional disharmony. They are seen on physical plane but their cause lies solely on mental plane. This is the time when merely treating the physical expression of the disease will not suffice. One has to find the exact root cause and then treat it accordingly. And unless the patient describes his mental and/or emotional history, it is not possible to reach to correct remedy.

 

But if you think asking too many questions bores the patient, it is not true in almost all cases. It is always desire of a man or woman to speak about self. Everyone wants a good listening ear. And therefore a homeopath serves as the most needed listening ear to the patients. Also speaking out about self suffering, positivities and negativities of life is a great catharsis for most patients. There are patients of mine who while on treatment just come to meet me to tell something fascinating or saddening story that happened to them. Well, that is certainly not boring to me but I call it EEE (Extremely Educating Experience). In short, history taking is good for doctor as well as patient, as through this history, homeopath can perceive the essence of his patient and can give him perfect treatment that he deserves!

1. ) i bought cinnamon herbal supplements today and when i got home and looked at the ingredients it said gelatin. is that an animal based product and where does it come from?
2) are Avon beauty products vegan?

Gelatin is basically mashed up animal bones. Definintely not vegan.
And yes, Avon is vegan:)

Can I take St John’s Wort three times a day, Brahmi once a day, and then Valerian root at night? Would those three be compatible? Or do I even have to worry about compatibility with herbal supplements?

I would need to fist ask. Are you taking any at the moment? If so which ones? You should look up the family’s related to all of those herbs and the side effects for taking them alone. Also you should never take three herbs , especially so many and different kinds on top of it if you don’t already know if you are allergic to one or all of them. Always start with one dose of one of these then gradually increase if you think you need more of a particular herb.

I got fingered for the first time on Wednesday, it hurt to pee after that. And I noticed I only had almost like a brush burn on either side of my clit. It doesn’t hurt to pee anymore and there is no odor at all. But today I started my period. I put in a tampon and felt some discomfort. I tried to take it out and it hurt. Almost like there were cuts or something ‘up there.’ I’m thinking I won’t put in a tampon for a while. Maybe until my next period.
I don’t think i have a disease, do you? Because, there is not odor or pain. I think I’m just a little cut up, correct?

sweety, the guy wasn’t smooth enough when he was fingering you. it’s not the best when you are not properly wet before he fingers u cuz on my first time, the guy’s nails were kinda grown and he pushed hsi fingers in too fast and rough so i bled.

in ur case, im sure it’s some minor cuts on ur clit. please tell him to be careful next time ok?

yes there is a way to prevent such STDs or other skin diseases from oral sex…that u make sure that person isn’t sleeping with everyone and also make sure he is clean.

alot of these infections come from poor personal hygiene…

I’ve read a little bit about colloidal silver and it seems like cool stuff. I’ve been wanting to get into taking it but then my homeopathic pharmacist said it might be a good supplement for my dog (long story, but it started with an animal homeopathic practitioner). I’ll probably take it myself as well. But there are a few things I forgot to ask.

So…
* Are there any instructions for taking colloidal silver? Should it be with a meal, by itself, after a meal, before a meal? It’s easiest to give it to my dog with his dinner but not that hard not to.
* Do most people take it every day, or only when you need it, or a few days on and a few days off?
* Has anyone ever used the home colloidal silver maker? Does it work?
* Anyone have any other tips or advice about colloidal silver? Any personal miracles about what this stuff can do?

Colloidal silver is a very powerful bacteriocide and is supposed to be capable of killing 650 different pathogens, if you believe that claim.

The worst thing you can do is to make your own because you will end up with 100% ionic silver which is nowhere near as good as colloidal silver which in most cases usually only contains a small proportion of ionic silver. Home made colloidal silver may lead to argyria if you are not careful and overdose and your face will become a permanent ashen blueish grey for which there is no cure.

Hello, I recently began a job as a nanny for a 3 month old baby. I have only been on the job for one week now but am concerned about the babies tendency to projectile vomit after eating. It is not after every single feeding but it is after at least one per day. I usually am here long enough that I have to feed her 2-3 times and so it is making me very nervous. I have spoken to the mom about it and she doesn’t seem to be too concerned. She ordered a homeopathic remedy for reflux, which I think is probably colic calm. I have read a little bit about it and it seems like it may work. I try and burp her several times while feeding her her bottle, which is pumped breast milk, and she normally burps. Should I be worried? I have had to change her clothes several times a day and feel bad about it. It doesn’t smell but it just doesn’t dry very fast either and i don’t like to carry around a wet baby. Because it generally goes all over the front of her. Is there anything else I should be or could be doing until the new medicine comes?

It is only projectile vomiting if it goes across the room. Babies can burp up seemingly a lot so you have to let us know if it really goes that far. You might want to use a burp cloth or a bib when burping so you don’t need to change clothes so often. If it really is projectile vomiting you need to mention it to the doc. I would print something from the net and carefully explain to your employer why the baby needs to be seen. You could offer to take the baby for her if she is too busy.

All of the ten questions are moot when you consider that the 9CH dilution is 1/1000000000000000 – that’s one atom of the “remedy” for every 1000000000000000 of the water it’s diluted with – They normally put a drop of this magic water on a pill or just flavor it and give it in the liquid form. The pills or liquid the quack gave you could be the size of the planet Jupiter and the odds are that you’d never get one single atom of the so-called remedy – Homeopathy is bunk! No need to worry about side-effects as it will do no more than a glass of water. Go to a real doctor and demand real medicine if you have tonsillitis.
