Question by Anjula: My Age is 24 and my ESR is 70. Is there anything serious about it. What medicine shall i take.?
Actually, i shifted to bangalore 4 yrs back and since then i’m ill everyday. Initially a get sick once in a month, then once in a week and now i’m sick everyday. I suffer from running nose problem everyday. Whenever i get cold it is very severe. I have undergone one Nose Surgery too when i came to bangalore but my cold was fine for 2 months then it started again. i took homeopathy medicine for allergy abt 2 1/2 yrs but still my health is not good. Everyday i’m sick. sometimes viral & Herpis, Cold & Headache always. I have constipation problem too which aggrevates my cold and headache. Kindly suggest what medicine should i take. My experiences with doctors are not gud, noone is able to prescribe me some gud medicine to cure my illness. Can anyone tell is tis serious issue and how long it will take to cure tis.

Unfortunately only your doctor is able to prescribe medications for you to use. If you’re not comfortable seeing your family doctor, go to a walk in clinic, or to another doctor. If all else fails go to your public health clinic or something like that, but only a qualified doctor is allowed to prescribe things for you. If you don’t feel that the medications are working for your condition, then maybe your doctor should order some tests for you.

Question by SKM: Homeopathic medicine for Acne?
What is a good medicine for Adult Acne?

Constant mild breakout (3-4 pimples) on the cheeks
Usually the pimples don’t erupt and go away after a week.
Doesn’t seem to be related to diet
More on one side so might be because of some infection as there was no acne during puberty and teenage.

Sulphur did not help, infact I think it caused pimples to burst more.
Tomato soap did not help.
Silecia provided temporary relief when it was being taken to expel wood splinter in foot. Btw, foot is better as swelling is gone, might have been dissolved or expeled.

Okay this might sound silly but it is true and works on me when I get breakouts occasionally. Use toothpaste (the paste type). It usually dries them up overnight!

Question by GOODD: Why isn’t there cough medicine for kids under four?
When my kids were first born our pediatrician gave us a chart for how much Children’s Tylenol products (acetaminophen) the kids could take for when the label said “consult your doctor”.

I know there was a recall in 2010 of children’s medications, but why can I not find ANY children’s cough and cold products that do not say “not for use in children under 4 years”? My kids are three and they’ve both been sick twice this month. My daughter was coughing so hard yesterday she was gagging and aside from some homeopathic stuff that is really expensive, has to be given every two hours and doesn’t really work, I don’t have any options to alleviate their symptoms.

1. What happened that you can’t give kids under four cough and cold medicine?
2. What CAN I give my kids that might actually work?

If its cold you ask theres no ‘cure’ for common cold
