Question by anonymom: Chronic Sinus infection I feel like I’ve tried everything. Help!?
I have had a sinus infection for over 3 months. 3 months ago at it’s worst, I had an ear infection, bronchitis, and sinus infection. I was very sick. Here is what i’ve tried:
3 rounds of antibiotics
a variety of homeopathic medicine and other remedies prescribed by my naturopathic doctor (silica, garlic, lauracidin, seriphos, probiotics, ThyroChord)
Gluten free, dairy free, soy free diet for 3 weeks
castor oil packs about 3x/week
hydrotherapy
Vitamin D supplements
2 types in inhalers

Tests:
CT scan which showed my sinuses we all completely, totally full (this was after 2 rounds of antibiotics)
blood work- this all looks pretty good, with a slightly below ok range for Vit. D, high normal TSH and high normal white blood cell count.

I am getting ok sleep, about 7 hours a night
I have A LOT of stress in my life (single mom, 2 small girls, full time job + part time job, recently divorced and very angry at ex- this is the biggest part of my stress, house under water and can’t afford payments)

What I have going for me is regular exercise, very good social support

Any ideas or thoughts about what else I can do? I am sooooo tired of being sick…

I’ve been taking Liquid Chlorophyll you can find it in health food stores or online. Take 1 tablespoon each day…you can mix it with water if you don’t like the taste but I usually take it a tablespoon of it and swish it around in my mouth before I swallow it.

I had an infected tooth and the infection went up into my sinus. Chlorophyll is a good blood cleanser and blood builder I’ve used it for many years.

If the CAT scan of your sinuses is normal, then you have no blockages that hold fluids or need repair? If that is so, then you just need to get them clean enough to recover. All that gunk stuck up there rots. ‘Rots’ is another word for infection.

Never swallow drainage from your head, always spit.

You have not yet tried regularly irrigating your sinuses. Use a soft rubber long tip ear and nose syringe to suck your nose out, and to rinse it. There are various prepared solutions for doing this, and you can also make your own. it is extremely cheap. It takes a sort of knack, because it is gross and chokey, but you can get it… Put solution up your back-tilted head, wait as long as you can, blow and spit, use the rubber syringe if you have to to suck it out, repeat until air goes through your head, then you are done. It is sort of amazing how, as time goes by, horrible alien lookin’ blobs of stuff comes out of your head and whole new departments of nose open up… You can feel air *moving* in creepy places you don’t recall being air chambers :)

I have had the best luck with adding boric acid and using as cool water as I can tolerate (it reduces swelling, just like ice – but beware brain freeze!). http://www.allianceent.net/index.php?section=9&pid=195 has recipes and tips. I am a mouth breather, and this dries your sinuses too. I found that a few drops of glycerin (which is not mentioned on the site, but was recommended to me) keeps down irritation while healing, and keeps things moist at night.

One source of annoyed blocked up sinuses is sleeping on your back, and another is snoring/mouth breathing. The first prevents drainage, and the second dries your sinuses out, keeping them from defending themselves. Believe it or not, you *want* a wet nose inside. Stay well hydrated, and if you tend to have thick mucous, take guaifenesin, the generic of mucinex, which thins secretions generally. Get it plain, everything in the combined formulations are things that have rebound, and generic is cheapest.

Dust and smoke in your home and workplace, animal dander, and mites in your upholstery can also be irritating. clean your house, get rid of all the fabric you can in favor of flat floors with washable carpets. if you have an apartment or are stuck with carpet, get a HEPA filter or water bath vacuum. If you smoke, or members of your family do, quit or do it outside. Stand in your shower and breathe the steam. Obsessive dental hygiene helps (no infection crawls out of your mouth and up your head).

I have struggled with what you describe for years and years, and it will still get the drop on me now and then… but a couple days of irrigating will head it off now.

Question by amylou: I was diagnosed with pcos 5 years ago and have tried almost everything to lose weight. Any advice?
I am feeling overwhelmed and do not know where to start. I have always been active in my job and with the level of sport I play but cannot get the weight off. It has gradually increased and I am now the biggest I have ever been 104kg (225lb). I need to find a specialist to help me but don’t know if I should see an endocrinologist or maybe someone in homeopathy and alternative medicine. I would love to hear from someone who has been through this. Thanks!

Dietary therapy
Where PCOS is associated with overweight or obesity, successful weight loss is probably the most effective method of restoring normal ovulation/menstruation, but many women find it very difficult to achieve and sustain significant weight loss. Low-carbohydrate diets and sustained regular exercise may help. Some experts recommend a low GI diet in which a significant part of total carbohydrates are obtained from fruit, vegetables and whole grain sources

go see an endocrinologist, you should treat first your pcos so you can easily lose weight, and consult him also with you wanting to loose weight

If You Haven’t Tried Homeopathy, Then You Haven’t Tried Everything: A look at the pattern of disease progression?and its reversal

There are many books on the market about what causes all diseases:  genetics, germs, chemicals from foods or the environment, mercury fillings, pH imbalance, parasites, yeast, pressure on spinal nerves, blocked energy, emotions, and the list goes on….  Many natural health practitioners offer supplements or services to help the person based on what the practitioner believes is the cause of diseases.  Believe it or not, there is no one cause of all diseases.  However, the pattern of disease progression is very similar for all diseases.

For thousands of years man has been searching for the cause of disease.  Initially it was believed that illness was linked to God or spirits being upset with the person’s actions.  Later, it was bad blood or body fluids, so these were removed from the person in the attempt to restore health (it usually led to the person’s death).  More recent, diseases were believed to be caused by germs.  Today, there is a whole gamut of perceived causes of disease; the medical profession has their beliefs and those practicing natural health have theirs.  But the core belief is the same:  if the cause of all diseases can be found, then diseases can be prevented or managed.  The problem:  there is no one cause of all diseases.

Vital Force

Although there is no one cause of all diseases, there is a common path of all diseases that have not been caused by trauma, such as an accident or physical injury, or a birth defect.  Unless an organ of the body or part of the body has been injured through a trauma or accident or birth defect, no organ becomes diseased without the body first giving signals along the way.  To begin to understand this phenomenon, the body’s Vital Force must first be discussed.

Many cultures believe that the body contains an inner wisdom that allows the body to maintain a balance, for only with a balance can the body function at an optimal level.  This inner wisdom regulates body processes, monitors the body for imbalances, and lets the conscious mind know when something is not right; it can even tell the conscious mind what must be done to correct the imbalance.  Other cultures call this inner wisdom the Innate Wisdom, Chi, Prana, Qui, and so forth.  For this discussion, it will be called the Vital Force.

When something happens to the body that affects the body’s balance, such as coming in contact with the influenza “flu” virus, the Vital Force sends signals to the conscious mind to let the person know there is a challenge to the Vital Force—these signals are the symptoms of the flu.  The symptoms are intended to direct the healing to help the Vital Force regain balance.  Fatigue tells the person that extra rest is required by the body.  Lack of appetite means to stop eating so energy that is usually used to digest food can be used for healing.  Body aches are telling the person that the immune system is working harder to fight the invader.  The fever is holding the virus at bay until the immune system can remove it.  Cough is keeping the infection out of the lungs.  And so forth.

If the body is allowed to respond to the challenge to the Vital Force without interference, the body will regain its balance and be stronger, so it can fight the next challenge quicker without having as much of an impact to the Vital Force.

Ways We Respond to Symptoms

When symptoms occur, there are three ways most people deal with them.

*  Ignore them

*  Suppress them with medication

*  Follow their direction

Let’s look at each of these, using a headache as the example.  A headache is a symptom.  If there was no challenge to the Vital Force, there would be no headache as symptoms do not occur without a reason.

Ignore the headache. Many people believe that pain is a part of life or a part of aging, so they ignore pain unless it really interferes with life.  When the pain begins to interfere with thinking or action, a person generally suppresses the headache with medication.

*  Suppress the headache with medication. Instead of determining why the headache exists, a person usually takes a pain reliever such as acetaminophen (Tylenol®), aspirin, ibuprofen, or such.  With suppressive treatments such as drugs, the symptom usually returns once the medication has worn off because medical drugs usually do not restore the energetic balance of the Vital Force.

*  Follow the headache’s direction. Knowing that a headache does not occur without reason, stop and think about it.  Listen to your body.  Perhaps you are distressed about work, or you have been sitting in the same position for the past two hours.  Perhaps you are hungry.  The cause of most headaches can be determined if the person listens to the body and what the headache is trying to say.

It is a difficult concept to grasp in our society:  that symptoms are a good thing.  So many commercials and advertisements have trained people to believe that symptoms equal disease, and that diseases need to be managed with drugs.  But this is not the case.  Symptoms are the keys towards healing; if they are suppressed, then diseases take hold and progress to the point where the person develops a chronic condition where the disease “runs the show.”

The Pattern of Disease

As mentioned earlier, all diseases follow a pattern, and no organ becomes diseased without first giving signs (unless there is a physical trauma or injury to that organ or congenital defect).

The body is very intelligent.  It protects the vital organs behind bone:  the brain and spinal cord are behind the skull and the spinal column and the heart, lungs and part of the liver are behind the ribs.  The kidneys, which are also very important, are protected in pockets of skin, separating them from the internal organs and from the outside.  Your body protects these vital organs, and even would sacrifice other “less important” organs for their survival; for if these vital organs were damaged, then life would be compromised.  Above all, your Vital Force keeps you alive.

Having this in mind, it is very unlikely that a person would instantly have heart disease or kidney failure at the beginning of a disease process.  A disease process will appear in another part of the body first, long before the Vital Force becomes so compromised that it cannot protect the vital organs.

Consider John (not his actual name).  John is now 30.  He was diagnosed with high blood pressure and asthma at his last physical.  John was quite sure he was healthy, except for the spurts of wheezing and shortness of breath he was developing.  Did John develop asthma and high blood pressure because he was getting older?  Did they suddenly appear without prior symptoms?

John had lived in the same house he had since he was a 5, having inherited it when his parents died suddenly when he was 20; he was still living at home while he went to college.  He also had the same neighbors and the same job (had worked there part time while in college, then continued after graduation).  He had married and had two children.  But, for the most part, nothing had changed in John’s life.  So, he attributed his high blood pressure and asthma as a part of aging.

But what actually caused his Vital Force to become so compromised that it was unable to protect the vital organs (heart and lungs)?

John developed hives when he was 8; his parents took him to the doctor who prescribed antihistamines and hydrocortisone cream.  The rash went away; everyone thought John was healed.  Later, John developed sinus allergies and was again treated with antihistamines.  The antihistamines managed his allergies for a while, and then he needed stronger drugs to keep the symptoms at bay.  Soon, he developed sinus infections that didn’t seem to end; he required antibiotics, at first a few times each year, then more time, and pretty soon he seemed to be on an antibiotic all the time.  He had sinus surgery when he was 16, then had his tonsils taken out because they had become swollen.  Afterwards, his sinuses improved and he only needed a steroid sinus spray to manage his sinus symptoms; but he had lost his sense of smell.  All in all, John thought he had come out ahead.

Over time, John was able to stop using the sinus spray.  He started to develop headaches and had to take ibuprofen several times daily.  Still, John felt he was healthy because he was managing his diseases.  He was very surprised when the doctor told him he had developed asthma and high blood pressure.  The doctor prescribed medication for both conditions; John was told he would need to take the drugs for the rest of his life with no hope of becoming asthma-free or having a healthy, normal blood pressure.  The drugs were to help him manage his diseases only; no hope for cure.

What signals from his Vital Force did John miss?

The initial signals the Vital Force sends are mild, as any challenge to a strong Vital Force causes only small symptoms.  The initial signals of any disease condition (threat to the Vital Force) are symptoms that can be perceived by the senses (vision, hearing, taste, smell, touch), a change in emotions or energy, or a skin rash such as a rash, hives, itching, dryness, a change of some degree.

If the initial signals are ignored and the cause of the imbalance not fixed, the signals will become stronger, such as an open rash or skin wound.  If the “message” is suppressed or not heeded, the symptom goes inward, but to an organ that is not vital, and other symptoms will occur, such as sinus allergies, swollen tonsils, or nausea.  The more the message is suppressed or ignored, the greater the challenge to the Vital Force, so the more compromised the body becomes as the Vital Force becomes weaker.  In John’s case, he developed hives (a skin symptom) then sinus allergies, then sinus infections and swollen tonsils, then headaches, asthma and high blood pressure.  The body can live without sinuses and tonsils; can it live without lungs or a heart?

And the cause?  In many respects, it doesn’t matter.  When there is a challenge to the body, to the Vital Force, symptoms direct the care the person needs.  If the symptoms are ignored or suppressed, then the route towards disease begins.

The pattern of disease occurs through suppression of symptoms, either through drugs or through ignoring the symptoms.  The Vital Force, when strong, will do everything it can to keep the vital organs strong.  It sends the person signals in an attempt to have the person assist the Vital Force to protect the vital organs, to protect the life of the individual.  Symptoms are that signal, that message.  No matter the cause, the progression to disease is the same:  minor symptoms that become worse and go inward until finally the vital organs become compromised.

Unfortunately, very few people are aware that each of his/her diseases is caused by the same thing—a weakening Vital Force—and are an indication of the pattern of suppressed diseases.

What Can Be Done?

Just as diseases follow a pattern, healing also follows a pattern—a reverse pattern that the disease followed.  A person who has compromised vital organs needs to have his/her Vital Force stabilized to keep it from becoming worse.  The organs themselves also need support, as they have been compromised as well.

A thorough history has to be obtained to determine the symptoms that had occurred and the suppressions that were used that compromised the Vital Force and allowed the disease to take hold and progress.  It is very important to know when and how the diseases began and how they were treated.

This is where homeopathy comes in.  Homeopathic medicines are designed to help the Vital Force.  Although other natural supplements can assist the Vital Force, homeopathy is designed for this.

Two Types of Homeopathic Practitioners

Briefly, there are two types of homeopathic practitioners:  those who address symptoms to manage them, and those who work to restore the Vital Force to its optimum.  Most homeopaths manage symptoms through the use of homeopathic medicines; most homeopathic remedies on the market are intended to manage symptoms.  Symptom management even with natural supplements or through the use of several homeopathic medicines in a combination product can still lead to diseases being driven deeper within, and chronicity.

Only Classical Homeopathic practitioners work to restore the Vital Force; they also address the symptoms, but with the focus of helping the person with restoration of the Vital Force as the intention.  As the founder of Homeopathy, Samuel Hahnemann, stated:  “The high and only mission of a physician is to restore the sick to health, to cure, as it is termed.”

What about John?

John had been under homeopathic care for 8 months and responded well to homeopathy.  He worked with his medical doctor to stop taking blood pressure medications, and now only required an occasional inhaler for shortness of breath.  He stated he felt more vibrant and liked the idea that he no longer needed oral medications.  Even his sense of smell was returning, his allergy symptoms were significantly decreased, and he had decreased the times he needed to take medications for headaches.

As John is a “symbol” of the progression of disease, it is John’s hope (and his homeopath’s hope) that the day will come shortly when his diseases will disappear and full health will be restored.  With homeopathy, John began to reverse the course of disease progression; his new course is towards a strong Vital Force and health.  For some, healing takes years; for others, healing occurs quicker—it all depends on how weak the Vital Force is, and how deep the hold of the disease process, and how many vital organs are affected.

Conclusion

Classical Homeopathic practitioners help thousands of individuals with thousands of health challenges.  Their success with their practices hinges on accurate analysis of a person’s symptoms, how the person thinks, his/her emotions, and how he interacts with his environment.  The whole person is analyzed, as any and all symptoms are individual to that person, and homeopathy is very individualized.  There are about 4,400 homeopathic medicines—it is the Classical Homeopath’s job to find the ONE to start your healing process.

As the founder of Homeopathy, Samuel Hahnemann stated:  “It is more important to know the person that has the disease than to know what disease the person has.”  A medical diagnosis means little to a Classical Homeopath; what that diagnosis means to YOU does matter, for you alone hold the keys to your healing, and those keys are the symptoms unique to YOU, not your disease.  It is those unique symptoms that determine which remedy (or remedies) is right for you.

For those who state they have tried everything for their disease but have not tried homeopathy, know that they haven’t tried everything; as if they had tried Classical Homeopathy, they would have no disease.

Don’t Listen to Those Who Tell You Everything is Your Fault: When a Health Professsional Blames You, It’ s Time to Walk Away

”Everything that happens in your life is either because you subconsciously wanted it to happen or it is a mirror of your own inner beliefs.”

The absurdity of this statement, and others like it, was not realized until Rachel was scribbling her Last Will and Testament.  There was no option—death was the only answer to protect those she loved; she just needed to find a way to make it happen.

The irony of it all, in the grand scheme of things, is that mental-health counselors are sup-posed to help people who are contemplating suicide, not to take someone to the brink of suicide.

But that was exactly what Michelle* did.  Rachel had sought counseling with Michelle for anxiety related to money and fears of being alone if her husband would die.  During the seven years Rachel was under her care, Michelle repeatedly told Rachel that she, Rachel, was not a victim, and only victims believed things happened to them.  In reality, according to Michelle, people have a say in what happens to them; nothing happens unless the person wanted things to happen or needed to learn from the incident.

“Everything that happens in your life is either because you subconsciously want it to happen or it is a mirror of your own inner beliefs.”  Michelle called it manifesting.  This was an every-session statement to Rachel.  This statement thus started the decline in Rachel’s desire to live.  “There are no victims in the world,” Michelle would say.

The concept behind Michelle’s teachings was that what a person thinks about will become a reality either to teach the person a lesson or to show the person what the person truly believed.  Every person that is alive today came to learn something, to enhance their spirit in some way.  We chose our parents (before we were born) to assist us in our learning, so there was no reason to be upset if we didn’t like what our parents were like or if we had an abusive or neglectful childhood; after all, we chose the parents and our childhood situations.  All of our past experiences were there to help our spirit grow; therefore, there was no reason to be upset about the past—we chose all those experiences.

“There are no victims,” in other words.

But for Rachel, a woman who cared about others, all she saw was how she was causing misery in others’ lives, including that of her husband and children.

Over the seven years Rachel was “counseled” by Michelle, Rachel came to the conclusion that every problem in the family was because of her subconscious beliefs or because there was a lesson to be learned for her highest good.  Most of the time, however, she could not see the lesson that was to be learned.  She spent most of her time in inner-reflection trying to glean some idea of what she was not seeing.  Twice each month, she returned to counseling with Michelle hoping to gain some clarity during the session.  After each session with Michelle, Rachel often felt a little better, until a few days later when she returned to feeling helpless and paranoid over anything she thought, or didn’t think; Rachel was convinced all the answers lay in her subconscious.

As she searched for answers to her questions, Rachel came to the point where she was unable to function.  As a self-employed person, her business was slowly failing, just limping along enough to convince her that she should keep it open.  With the decline in income, money matters began to surface at home.  Thus another layer to her self-blame was added to the already heavy burden.

And all the time, she kept asking herself, “What am I doing wrong?”  Rachel had read about manifesting, even though it was different from what Michelle taught; still, Rachel seemed unable to manifest customers, health or peace of mind.  No matter how hard she tried, she could not find the cause of her struggles.

After all, she would not be having money troubles or health issues now if they weren’t something she was either thinking or a mirror-image of her own beliefs.

Still, Rachel continued to see Michelle, opting to pay for the visits over buying medicines for her back pain, seeing she felt the pain would disappear if she could find out what it was teaching her.  Her husband’s medical insurance did not cover Michelle’s services as she had a private practice.

By the time she closed the doors of her business, Rachel was in a deep depression.  It was her fault that her business failed.  It was her fault the customers didn’t walk through the door any more.  It was her fault the family now had financial troubles.  It was her fault….

In an attempt to take action for their financial status, Rachel had a rummage sale.  During the sale, she noticed several things had been stolen.  When Rachel told Michelle, she put the blame on Rachel:  “People steal from you because you believe there is not enough money in the world to go around.”  Michelle also proceeded to tell Rachel to have no further rummage sales because only poor people have rummage sales and Rachel had to stop believing she was poor.

When her son Joshua, 10, became ill and was diagnosed with asthma, Rachel took it upon herself to find out why she had caused Joshua’s illness; after all, Joshua would not be ill unless Rachel wanted it to occur, right?

Rachel stopped seeing Michelle when she could no longer afford to pay her.  Thinking she had lost the only one who could help her find the way to the reason behind all her failures and her son’s asthma, Rachel lost all hope.  The self-hatred and loathing she began to feel a couple of years earlier intensified dramatically.

Then she realized the only way to rid Joshua of his asthma and restore the monetary balance to her family was to leave.  As Rachel felt she was the one totally responsible for any family suffering, the family would fair better if she were not there to cause more problems.  Rachel’s ability to see beyond her self-blame caused a narrowness of vision in that she could only see part of the picture.  She was unable even to think that others in the family might be contributing to family problems; her focus was totally at herself for all issues and it was her responsibility to help her family by leaving.

But then she started thinking.  No matter where she went, she would cause problems for others because she didn’t know why she was causing so many problems currently; and she had no way to search for the answers as the only light out of the darkness Rachel perceived was Michelle, and she could no longer afford to see Michelle.

So her thoughts turned to suicide.  It seemed like the only answer.  It was the most logical answer.

As tears streamed down her face, Rachel scribbled her Last Will and Testament.  The only thing left to do was to find a way to die.

As Rachel didn’t like pain and could not consciously swallow a bunch of pills, she realized she would not be able to die by her hand.  In the end, she realized she would not be able to commit suicide.  So she prayed and thought hard about dying—after all, if she thought about it, it would happen, or so Michelle often had said.

After a week of not dying, Rachel resigned to the fact that she would have to find her own way out of the turmoil.  She called a friend who instantly recommended Rachel find a “real counselor” and to go to the doctor for some help.  Having seen the impact of “psych drugs” on her mother, Rachel refused to take an antidepressant or anti-anxiety drug, so she opted to not seek medical care.  Instead, she called a Classical Homeopath.

The Homeopath knew she had to work quickly or Rachel would be lost.  Even though Rachel was not actively suicidal, her symptoms were intense and had the potential to cause a lot of health damage even without trying to die.

Rescue Remedy (a mixture of Bach Flower Essences) was immediately given to help with the intense emotional symptoms.  The Homeopath also gave Rachel Psorinum (a Homeopathic Medicine) to calm the desire to commit suicide.  The Homeopath also told Rachel that things were going to be okay—that statement alone probably helped more than anything before that point.  It gave Rachel a glimmer of hope.  A follow-up appointment was set for the next day.

Until the next visit, the Homeopath work-ed to find a core-healing remedy to assist Rachel with her healing.  As the principle of Classical Homeopathy is to heal the person, not just manage symptoms, the Homeopath has to find the one remedy to start the healing process.  The Psorinum given to Rachel was to help with the intensity of the depression; it was not considered a core-healing remedy when given as it was.

The following day, at her next visit, Rachel was already feeling a little better.  Although she was confused and very depressed, she didn’t feel as heavy with sorrow.  The core-healing remedy was given, along with instructions to seek the care of a counselor, but not the counselor from before (e.g. Michelle).  The Home-opath had listened to the words Michelle had told Rachel and knew they, the words, were not right and were the primary reason Rachel now felt suicidal and severely depressed.

At the next follow-up appointment a week later, Rachel looked at least 50% brighter.  She walked taller and was no longer so pale.  She even smiled a couple of times during the office visit.

When working with the new counselor, Rachel had realized that Michelle’s teachings were in error and were probably just a way she, Michelle, caused people to become dependent upon her and ensuring a steady stream of income by convincing her clients that Michelle was needed to help them uncover the truths of their subconscious mind.  At the office visit with the Homeopath, Rachel oddly credited Michelle for most of the improvements in her mood since the previous visit.

Looking through new eyes, Rachel had listened in on one of Michelle’s free tele-conferences.  In the seminar, Michelle had stated that sometimes things happen to us to teach others a lesson—we just happened to be the one God or the Universe used to help teach them.

In all the times Michelle had told Rachel about manifesting and that all things happen to us to teach us a lesson, Michelle had never told Rachel that something could happen to us that was not to teach us a lesson.

In her anger, in the question-and-answer part of the presentation, Rachel had spoken up and had asked if she had heard it correctly, that things happen to us without our control, and is not always a reflection of our beliefs.  There had been a long pause; Michelle had recognized Rachel’s voice.  Michelle was now caught between having her lies exposed to one person and telling the truth to all the other listeners.  So Michelle chose to tell the truth:  we aren’t always at fault.

Immediately after the seminar, Michelle had called Rachel in an attempt to explain.  Michelle made excuses and tried to convince Rachel to return to see her; she would even start a tab until money became more plentiful in Rachel’s life.  Rachel told Mich-elle what she had learned and that she was seeing a Classical Homeopath now who was helping her more than Michelle ever had.  Rachel also talked about starting a law suit against Michelle, at which time she stated that Rachel only heard what she had needed to hear, and that she needed to experience the situation for her highest good.

Rachel then remembered the time she had found a business card from a pimp in a library book—she had told Michelle of the find.  Michelle had stated “You wouldn’t have found the card had you not believed you could be wealthy without having to resort to crime.  If you didn’t have this belief, you would not have seen the card.”  Rachel didn’t have that belief and had felt Michelle was wrong in her interpretations of the incident.  Remembering that lie, Rachel hung up.

As time passed and Rachel grew stronger mentally, she again thought of taking the steps to sue Michelle.  But suing Michelle would not help anyone, unless Michelle went out of business from it.  Still, Rachel could not in good conscience leave others to suffer under Michelle’s care; she felt she had to tell someone.  So she set out to help as many people as possible by telling her story.

In the end, it was Rachel who had the courage to move beyond the faulty lessons from Michelle.  Although some of the teachings still remain, even 6 months after the last session with Michelle, Rachel is no longer suicidal.  She still blames herself for just about everything, but now she is conscious of the fact that the self-blaming is a conditioned response from faulty coun-seling.  “I am almost free of the brain washing!”

Manifesting is not wrong—Michelle was wrong.  Everyone makes mistakes and does things that are not right.  No one is perfect.  When looking through clear eyes, people can see those things that contribute to their decisions; assigning blame to yourself clouds the vision, keeping learning from occurring.

And no one causes bad things to happen just by thinking of them or by being alive.

People do learn and grow based on the changes in their lives.  But God or the Universe does not introduce turmoil into a person’s life to help them grow spiritually; He/She also does not wait around watching you to pounce on every thought and action just so He/She can throw a block in your path of discovery.

Don’t follow the path that Rachel did.  If your coun-selor or health prof-essional tells you something that does not feel right, don’t take it to heart.  If they blame you for anything, then turn around and walk away.  Better to be a little anxious over a situation in your life than to want to commit suicide because of being blamed for that situation.

* “Michelle” is not the actual name of the counselor, although Rachel felt all should be given the true name of the counselor to be protected from her.  “Rachel” is not the name of the woman who experienced this event; her name was changed to protect her confidentiality.

Homeopathy, Thoughts and Emotions

The emotions a person feels is usually a result of the person’s thoughts.  Rarely does an emotion occur before the thinking.  On occasion, a person may have an emotional outburst without knowing why; but often if the person thinks about it, a thought process can be found.

People react to their environment and situations in their lives based on past experiences; those experiences contribute to thought formation.  For example, a woman who was scorned by her husband tells herself that she would never trust a man again.  The decision to not trust a man again is a thought process; the emotion behind it could be anger, resentment, sorrow, or some combination.

With Homeopathy, the practitioner works to understand the thought processes that are contributing to the ailments in the patient.  The mind is very powerful and can reek havoc on health just as much as chemicals, poor dietary choices, cigarette smoking, and so on.  In many respects, the thoughts can start a person down the disease path.

Homeopathic Medicines, when given accurately, can help the person understand the thoughts behind the illnesses and emotional turmoil.  The Medicines can help the person see what they could not see before.

My 2 year old female English setter (adopted 8 months ago) has a chronic skin problem. We’ve had 4 visits to the vet/3 different vets. They say she has no parasites, but DERMATITIS. We tried antibiotics with a topical cream, then the same antibiotics and a type of topical foam and the problem still persists, and now it’s worse.
I also tried changing the diet, she was on a lamb and rice, and fish and rice dog food, and no change. then I tried a natural diet with rica and/or pasta with vegetables and meat or chicken. No change.
My latest attempt is homeopathic remedy – ‘sulfer’ granuals – but still no change.

Her skin is very pink and in places there are small red bumps (no pus, there is a large dry ulcer near her neck which has never fully healed and that she scratches, and she often bites near her feet and bum. She scratches everywhere and also on her face. Her coat is thin and course (not sure if this is because she may be a ES cross) and she like to be warm and near the heater.
She hasn’t been spayed yet.

Anyone have any ideas???? I’m at a loss here!
thanks!!!!
