i used it for an infection.. that infection is gone… but it’s helping me lose weight.

No. If you used it for an infection, and it’s gone, you should stop using it. Your probably losing weight because of another reason. Your body can get used to the medicine, and once you stop using it, your body is going to WANT it. It’s going to feel addicting. :]
