My 5 month old son just got over his first cold and now he has his first Ear Infection. I am currently using a homeopathic remedy of Mullein and Garlic Oil. I know that Antibiotics from the doctor clear up the infection faster but what about my homeopathic treatment? How long will it take for his Ear Infection to lessen and eventually clear up using the Mullein and Garlic oil?

hi to all mums out there whose babies have atopic eczema,please shed some light for me

my poor 4 months-old son has been having a severe atopic dermatitis for 1 and a half month now and im breastfeeding him exclusively.At first, it appeared only as a small red circle on his left cheek but it stayed for 2 weeks so i decided to bring him to the GP (big mistake lol!) .He said it was an infection and prescribed fusidic acid cream. It didnot work or more sadly made it worse as i noticed my baby’s facial skin becomes so dry with more redness all over the face and he constantly scratched his face so I stopped using it.Since then his skin becomes much less dry but these red scaly circles started to spread all over the body and when i searched on the internet it is obviously eczema.My husband’s father and brother both got asthma and his brother also got mild eczema (allergic to soap) but i bath my baby in just water and i washed his clothes in non bio liquid detergent so thats definitely not the case.I havenot eaten any dairy product since he was a month old either (as i noticed that he developped colic whenever i have them-but nothing else like eczema) so i dont think that its the cause.The only thing that is very likely to be the problem is chocolate soya that i started to drink at roughly same time as hes got his 1st sign of eczema but even when i stopped having soya, the thing still spreads like crazy. Been trying to eliminate few other thing but no significant help and today I read someone saying the baby might have eczema due to salicyclic acid which is present in most of the food! Im so so stressed and desperate now as he couldnt sleep at night time and constantly cry when i try to stop him from stratching. My question is:
- if eczema is really a type of allergy, will it show straight away after you have the allergenic food (some say after 24hrs) and once you stop eating them they disappear or if you it a little bit of it, it doesnt show very well until it accumulates enough in the baby’s body (or you eat lots of it) and even when you stop eating those food, it still takes a while until eczema totally dissapear?
- if the later one is true, how can you find out which food is the allergen?

im bathing him in grinded oatmeal once every day and put pure emu oil on him several times a day.
any advise esp homeopathy would be much much appreciated as i dont want to use any types of medicine.

p.s. we live in Cambridge which is a very hard water area. Could it be the problem? if yes what could i do bout it?

Tabo:thx for very useful advise about filtering the water but we’re renting and prob. have to ask for permission to do it.
About the healing process, there are a lots of places that he cant scratch (arms legs,back..)but its been a month now and those red scaly circles just stay there (altho the scales fall off stimes)
Bumblebee: i dont use any make up perfum or lipstick.our flat isnot spotless but its clean. any other named irritant ?

My daughter is 8mo. and just sprouted her first tooth today, has and ear infection (antibiotics for 24 hours now), just learned to stand-sit-crawl, all in the last week, has a cold, and wont sleep. Usually my husband is home at night to help the last week (we have had NO sleep), but hes working tonight and I cannot get her so sleep. She has had tylenol, orajel, homeopathic chamomile liquid (for teeth), and still will not sleep. She has had dinner, a bottle, nursed, rocked, sang to… I have tried everything in the book and then some. PLEASE HELP!!!

my daughters 9 month old son fight sleep like crazy and usually wont go to bed for a full 5 hours until after 10:30pm. we’ve tried to give him homeopathic drops to calm him down but nothing seems to work. shes trying to steer clear of giving him actifed which is what her aunt used to use on her kids, but this is getting ridiculous now.. any suggestions?

My baby is one week shy of 3 months old and she is coughing has a runny snotty little nose and she is teething (yes she is early even her ped is shocked). I dont want to give her any meds or anything like that. I want to try natural first and preferably. Things that will help calm her and help her feel better. anything will be helpful

He’s a 3 month old who has a suspected ear infection. I have a homeopathic first aid kit containing – pulsatilla, belladonna, aconite, chamomile and arnica. I would imagine pulsatilla and belladonna would both help, but what about the others? Should I dissolve the pillules in water together to give him?
I don’t want to disturb the local homeopath at night to ask, so I thought I’d check here first.
