It may be possible the virus has run it’s course in you, but why risk it? Sure, he had a homeopathic remedy. I am not saying all homeopathic medicine is bunk, but the reason it is still homeopathic is because it has not been proven effective in objective experiments yet.

Chicken pox can be dangerous in adulthood. Have him do the safe thing and get a Varicella vaccine. If you ever have kids, he will probably be exposed to it. And you will be doing your kids a favor if you expose them to it when they are about 8 years old. It itches, but protects them not only from chicken pox but small pox for life.

NO, your still contagious, and if you scratch the scabs you’ll scar.

  • Jack:

The maximum contagious period for chicken pox is in the first few days before and after the appearance of papules. So as you have completed 14 days there is only very less chance of your husband getting the disease from you. The healing scabs are unlikely to harbor live virus after 14 days. Usually even school children are allowed to go back to school after 14 days.
The disease (fever and papules) appears on our body about 2 weeks after the virus enters the body. So if your husband gets it now it means he got it 14 days back when your symptoms started. So have sex if you want and if he gets it now it is not from sex but from the initial stage of illness from you.
If your husband doesn’t get the infection in another week he can be protected from chicken pox for life with a very effective chicken pox vaccine. For adults two injections may be better for full protection.
