NOTE: that these are not for lactose intolerant babies since they are in a milk base.
I started using these for one of my twins when she was around 2-3 months old. She was gassy, fussy & had reflux which she was on medicine for. I had been using Gripe water for her(which I also recommend) but in between doses of her gripe water I need something when she was gassy or fussy.
My husband asked the Pharmacist if these were ok to take with her reflux medicine and he said it was since it was homeopathic.
Although these do dissolve almost instantly, if your baby has been screaming and their mouth is dry, make sure you get a little moisture in their mouth before putting these in their mouth. After a screaming episode, I put one of these in my daughters mouth under her tongue but she was soon choking on it and it had not dissolved. After that I always squirted milk or water in her mouth before and after giving her a tablet.
These taste nice so my baby has never had a problem taking them. Now that she is 11 months old, if she is ever screaming/crying and we don’t know what the problem is, I give her a couple of these and after I put the 1st one in her mouth she is sucking on it and stops crying. It doesn’t work every time, there are times she’s throwing a fit and she’ll continue throwing a fit but majority of the time once I give her these, she calms down. She is a very gassy baby & has reflux a lot.
Hylands teething tablets also work great. My best friends daughter was really fussy a while back and since she had been drooling a lot they figured she was cutting a tooth. Any time they gave her these tablets she calmed down and stopped crying. After several days of being extra fussy & then running a fever they took her to a Dr and she had an ear infection. So it seems these work for any kind of pain.

|Great! Just beware of Lactose,
This works great. We used it as a preventative measure by adding to daughter’s bottle every time we fed her along with mylicon drops. It worked and calmed her down and prevented gas pains every single time. At some point we had to stop using because daughter was having an allergic reaction to the lactose that’s in it. So be sure to watch for this. Otherwise, worth a try!

PRODUCT RECALL !!!! DANGEROUS !!!
There is a RECALL of all Hyland Teething Tablets! As of 10-25-10, FDA insisted that they recall these because some of them have dangerous amounts of the chemical “belladonna.” Also, their manufacturing plant is not kept up to health standards!
