Hi all, its been 9 months since im married and we have been trying since 2 months.. I have been diagnoised of PCOS. I was aware of this right from the day of marriage and met a doc and started taking BC in the 2nd month after my marriage…But I stopped BC in a month time and shifted to Homeopathic medicines. I did not get my periods in 3 months. Doc says that I shud be fine in 4 months as the medicine that she has given me will help me regulate my periods and ovulate…
I want to conceive at the earliest. My last period was on May 31st and we had sex during the ovulation day and also every other day. I’m due for my periods on June 30th. If I don’t get my periods on time, shud I go for a test after a week or shud I assume that it is coz of PCOS? I have cramps in my leg from past two days, and feeling very tired, lazy, sleepy , nausea and also my I feel very cold… Are there possibilities that I’m pregnant? Shud I continue with this medicine or meet a Gyno and tell her tat I wanna conceive and start medication. I heard Vitex is good for fertility. Can I take Vitex without doctors prescription?

Don’t worry. I just waved my virtual wand all over your question. You can conceive successfully now….
The minute you stop worrying and stressing over it will be when you conceive try to enjoy sex with your husband and not think of it as oh we trying to have a baby. For some people it takes longer to concieve.God doesnt do things when you want them done he does things according to his schedule. He’ll give you a child when he wants you to have one. Just wait patiently.
Why are you asking us, you obviously took it into your own hands instead of taking your doctors advice. She told you to medicate for 4 months and you only did one. Your periods may not regulate in 4 months like she said since you didn’t follow her directions.
Of course it is possible you are pregnant, you have been trying!
It is too early to medicate for fertility. No doctor is going to treat you after trying for 7 months, and really not even that long since you didn’t follow doctors orders the first time.
Above poster is incorrect. Doctors WILL treat you for infertility sooner than a year of trying if there are obvious issues going on that point to a fertility problem. PCOS is an obvious issue. No doctor, knowing you have PCOS, is going to send you away and ask you to wait a year.
In my opinion, you need to see a fertilty specialist who can address your PCOS. GYNOs have limited knowledge in this area and you will just end up wasting more time. If you want to get pregnant quickly, then see the right doctor. A reproductive endocrinologist (RE) has the proper training and experience to help. He/she will give you the right medication to give you 28-30 day cycles and ensure you ovulate. The more you ovulate, the more chances you have at pregnancy.
Good luck.
