Archive for the ‘Smoking Cessation’ Category
So I have been trying to get pregnant for a while. I am a smoker (not for too much longer) and I am horribly out of shape (I’m not FAT but I could stand to loose a few pounds and tone back up)
I have been told time and time again that working out helps a LOT with getting pregnant.
I was pregnant once before back in April, but I lost the baby. 4 months later, and I am wanting to try again.
Any words of advice?
(No smart ass comments like “Quit smoking.”)
I am aware than I need to quit smoking, and I am going to be working on that this month.
But is there anything else that I could be doing to help my chances?
Homeopathic is the way I want to do things.
Help and advice is warmly welcomed.
Thanks all!
In using cannabis on a regular basis, but not heavily (smoking about once a week) the resulting highs would just make for a mellow and somewhat euphoric experience. Some months ago I had a complete shift in my reaction to pot though, now every time experience feeling of psychosis and panic. Consequently, I virtually don’t smoke at all now as this is such a negative experience.
I’m curious as to what may cause such a shift in a reaction to cannabis? My own life has been opporating as usual, the only change I can make note of is that I had began being treated by a homeopathic doctor with Aurum(gold) for depression and came off pharmaceutical treatment for depression (prozac).
Would love to hear some answers to feed my curiosity! Thank you.
I’m a 19 year old college female and I have been struggling with various ailments ever since I can remember. It all started when I was 10 years old and was horribly sick for 3 months straight with no help from my pediatric doctor. Finally after watching me not get better for such a long period of time, my mother took me to a homeopathic doctor who told me that I had a parasite. They put me on an herbal supplement and I got better within the next month. I’m not sure whether or not that had anything to do with the current problems I have but that’s as far as I can trace my serious health issues back. I come down with various infections constantly, 1-3 times a month I catch a virus or bacterial infection and I am literally sick more often than not. I do everything that I should to keep myself healthy, I have a very good diet, I exercise, I have a constant sleep schedule, take vitamins, don’t drink or smoke, and manage my days well. Over the years I have had other various illnesses besides the common infections. I have had multiple parasites, salmonella, and e-coli infections as well as bronchitis, sinusitis, tonsilitis, lyme disease, etc. During the times that I have had these illnesses my doctors have done many blood tests to try to determine if there was an underlying cause for my constant issues. All of the blood work always came back normally and I was informed that my immune system was not at all compromised. In the last few years I have developed anxiety and depression partially due to being sick all the time. I started to think that that might also have the opposite effect and stress out my body until I got sick. However, 6 months ago I started on anti-depressants that have helped my mood tremendously and I honestly don’t consider my emotional heath to be a problem anymore. But still I am constantly sick. I have no answers to explain why I am this way. I have my own room in college and it is in a brand new building that is free of mold or any severe allergins that I can think of. I do everything that I could imagine to be healthy but I never am. I’m just hoping that someone has any idea of something that could explain my problem that I could bring up to my doctor. I just want an answer so that I can change my life and not have to live so difficultly.
Ok so first off, I’ve never smoked, taken drugs unless prescribed to me in which in the last 5 years all that’s been is one sinus infection, one inner ear infection, and a case of walking pneumonia. I’m not much of a drinker either, only drink on special occasions. Last alcoholic beverage I had was back in August for my Girlfriends B-day.
As for my issue at hand. I’m 23, I know I’m slightly stressed due to my job environment, but my memory issues have been happening since before I had this job, was unemployed, & at my last job. I’ve been correcting my diet to encompass more fruits & veggies, less meat, and a good ammount of grain *mainly brown rice*.
I can remember shit all the way from when I was 3 to when I got through college. After that though which was only 2 years ago, those 2 years & some info from college is completely gone.
I feel absolutely retarded when my GF asks me if I remember something from last week which was important, a month ago, or even a few days or hours… Its really frustrating knowing that I should know something but don’t & can’t remember what it was. So if anyone has any suggestions as to suppliments/vitamins that I might be missing, food items that could fix it, homeopathic remodies, or etc… that might help to combat it.
And to all those out there that will say you should go see a doctor, don’t bother. I have just enough money to scrape buy every month, and no insurance.
Thanks to all of you for your suggestions & etc.. in advance.
Lucille – I’ve reported you for spamming, outside of that collonics are good for somethings including quickly onset fatigue but I’ve never seen or heard anything about it helping memory.
Humpty Dumpty – Yeah my GF says I should try the Ginko, & I will probably give it a go now that I’ve seen it mentioned a few times
Buzz – yes I’m 23 yes I have bills to pay, but that doesn’t stress me, its a normal factor of life, as it were; besides Death & Taxes there’s always Bills to pay. I’ve never been a spender, and can’t afford to be even if I was since I prefer to keep my money in my pocket for future safe guarding & keeping a good bank acct balance. I’ve actually never had a problem with sleeping, or fatigue unless I’ve finished working a 60-80 hr schedule for deadlines.
while I agree people do tend to have a lot of issues with stress, work, money all leading to memory or other mental issues, I’m pretty certain that’s not me. though thanks for the input
Buzz – continued, I am an game artist, there isn’t really anything that needs organizational skills. I label all my files, & keep all my notes in good condition & with all other materials that pertain to each project I’m working on. There isn’t a whole lot of organization needed in the the realm of art, save take notes so you know what your creating, create it, turn it in, start something new. no paper work, no desk jockeying, no cubical jungle.

What do you tell your patients when they bring in 100$ worh of homeopathic crap that some guru gave them. Yes, you can tell them the truth that they paid 100 for water, but what I have found out, is that they were usually referred to this person by a friend who got “AMAZING” results. I liken the argument to telling kids about pot, you have to be honest. I always try to be. You cant tell kids that pot will kill them or that they will drop out of school, because they, I am sure, know someone who smokes every day and gets As. So, do you tell them strait up they wasted there money? I usually have a conversation about the placibo effect and why they should never treat their kids with that water because kids are immune. Wanted everyones thoughts. Thanks
