If your vet has ruled out ear mites, I’d ask him to take a swab from his ears and get them cultured. This way the correct antibiotic can be identified. There really is no point doing all this ‘try this, try that’ which only empties your Bank account, and often introducing drops into ears that don’t work just make for a nice moist area for bacteria to grow !!

Okay I am 17 and I have had this ear wax problem for most of my teenage life.. (you will probably wonder why I haven’t done anything about it already)

My ear wax in my left ear is really smelly (not like normal smell of ear wax) almost a mix of marmite and metal lol as weird as that sounds x] and I have been masking the smell by putting cotton wool in it all the time.. It has a slight reddish tinge to it, and I have tried ear drops but it hurt which is probably something to be concerned about because they work fine in my other ear.

We are a homeopathic family and I used to see a homeopath about it, but I am a very shy timid person and I hated it. Then my dad would take the mick out of me because of it which would lower my confidence even more. I had that once, went doctors and they said to stick warm olive oil in my ear and drain it out it helps clean them or you could go to them for ear syringing but im sure theyre recommend the oil first. or just got chemist and by some ear stuff
