My 2 year old female English setter (adopted 8 months ago) has a chronic skin problem. We’ve had 4 visits to the vet/3 different vets. They say she has no parasites, but DERMATITIS. We tried antibiotics with a topical cream, then the same antibiotics and a type of topical foam and the problem still persists, and now it’s worse.
I also tried changing the diet, she was on a lamb and rice, and fish and rice dog food, and no change. then I tried a natural diet with rica and/or pasta with vegetables and meat or chicken. No change.
My latest attempt is homeopathic remedy – ‘sulfer’ granuals – but still no change.

Her skin is very pink and in places there are small red bumps (no pus, there is a large dry ulcer near her neck which has never fully healed and that she scratches, and she often bites near her feet and bum. She scratches everywhere and also on her face. Her coat is thin and course (not sure if this is because she may be a ES cross) and she like to be warm and near the heater.
She hasn’t been spayed yet.

Anyone have any ideas???? I’m at a loss here!
thanks!!!!

When I breathe in it seems like I’m not getting enough air. It happens mostly at night, and it get worse when I run around or go outside, witch really sucks, because I prefer to spend most of my time outside exploring, chilling, or playing sports. I took an allergy pill and some homeopathic allergy medicine yesterday, and it seemed to make it better, but then once I tried to go to sleep it got worse again, and I was stuck in a hot bath to try to make it better until about 5 in the morning. >.< It was really annoying, and I think it’s either allergies, acid reflux, both of which have been known to happen to me in the past, or slight asthma. I’m afraid that it might be asthma, but I really hope it’s not. :P
Oh, and so far it only keeps me up every other night. Which is just odd.
I don’t really want to go to the doctor, so is there a way I can tell at home if I have slight asthma or not?
Thanks a million! :D

My boyfriend of 6 yrs had always been allergic to some types of cats. In November we helped a friend, and purchased one of her 9 Lab puppies.

My boyfriend had lived off and on around another Lab dog, and there weren’t any problems.

Ordinarily, his allergies only become an issue around longer hair cats, and in the Spring/Summer/Fall (pollen).

With all that said, we thought getting a Lab puppy in the Winter would be fine. It has not been. Usually, he gets a break from allergy symptoms, but that didn’t happen. Only thing different is the puppy.

Are there any homeopathic or alternative medicines out there to treat a dog allergy??

We’re moving to southwest FL March 1. Will the warmer more humid climate there help or make worse? We were guessing worse.

Thank you

my daughter has eczema all over her body, i tried everything from prescription ointments to homeopathic approach. i want her skin to be clear so she can wear any clothes she want instead of long sleeves and pants.

My physician prescribed 60 mg of Allegra twice a day. I can’t tolerate that amount and usually end up slicing the pill in quarters. Today, my eyes were so itchy and swollen I didn’t attend my clinicals. A colleague recommended Vitamin C.

Any advice…
