7 years old child has discharge from belly button.Doctor says that it could be because of nail scratch . Need suggestion if it is problem related to hernia? What could be homeopathy or home remedy. At present Dr has suggested antibiotic which we are administering.

As your doctor may have already told you, it sounds like a small infection. Any type of bodily discharge is the body’s way of removing an unwanted or unneeded thing. Even though you are using an antibiotic, you may try applying a triple antibiotic cream and cleaning the area with isopropyl alcohol. The alcohol will help the area dry out and the cream will help treat the problem. Good luck. Oh and no it does not sound like a hernia.
I had this problem because I am allergic to the metals they use in the snaps on pants. I have to put tape or a band aid over the buttons to keep it off my skin. It would burn and I would have a discharge. I ended up cleaning my belly button with peroxide and then putting a bit of antibiotic ointment in there and let it air dry.
